Sophie Sahaf is the Vice President of Evaluation at LIFT. She is responsible for developing and executing LIFT’s learning agenda to ensure evaluation lessons inform program design and implementation. In this role, Sophie works closely with program implementers to build the data collection infrastructure and make that data accessible for internal and external audiences. Sophie also supports development of LIFT’s innovation pilots from conception to implementation. She has spearheaded efforts to integrate client voice into evaluation efforts and embed a continuous learning frame more broadly into LIFT’s program work. Prior to LIFT, Sophie was a Director at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, an organization that makes economic development investments globally. At MCC, she supported design of largescale human capital and infrastructure projects, identified rigorous evaluation designs for each project, and managed local staff to monitor basic project performance and conduct research studies. Before MCC, she worked to improve refugee conditions in Nepal and to strengthen anti-corruption efforts in the United Nations and World Bank. Sophie received her Master’s and undergraduate degrees from Tufts University.
